DSC Sales is Hiring a Central Territory Supervisor 004 Near Port Orange, FL

Job Summary:

The Territory Supervisor will oversee and lead the activities of the Route Sales Team. The sales team consists of Central Florida and Jacksonville. The Territory Supervisor will be the driving force behind the sales teams, the go-to leader and mentor for all the sales representatives/supervisors. You will need experience with route sales, preferably leading a route sales team. You will also be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with store and territory leadership.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train DSD/Sales Representatives.
  • Coach, mentor, and lead Sales Representatives.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in Sales Department in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to sales team.
  • Motivate and encourage sales team.
  • Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Assist sales team with resets during reset season.
  • Manage assigned warehouse to include unloading delivery truck and stowing product.
  • Cover sales routes in case of sales representative’s absence.
  • Communicate and build relationships with store and territory leadership.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop sales expectations and strategies.
  • Assist in corporate and regional sales meetings.
  • Responsible for keeping assigned warehouse properly stocked with inventory for route sales representatives.
  • Receiving deliveries at assigned warehouse(s).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Merchandising knowledge and skilled at training staff on merchandising.
  • Direct Store Delivery (DSD)/Route Sales experience is mandatory.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, able to multi-task.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Able to comfortably drive a medium duty box truck, approximately 20 feet in length.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DSD/Route Sales.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to safely get in and out of box trucks and vans with and without product.
  • Working in non-climate-controlled box trucks in all weather conditions.
  • Able to unload delivery trucks and stow product appropriately in the warehouse.
  • Prolonged hours of driving.
  • Must be able to load product onto work vehicle without assistance.
  • Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds at times.
