DSFederal Inc is Hiring a HR Manager, Part-Time Near Rockville, MD

DescriptionDSFederal seeks a part-time Human Resources Manager who will become an integral part of the leadership team and be responsible for the human resources function across the organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Partner with leadership to develop HR strategies that support business goals and to coordinate organizational development initiatives
  • Provide counsel on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and performance improvement planning
  • Implement strategies to promote employee engagement, retention, and professional development
  • Manage the talent acquisition team and develop recruitment life cycle best practices
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and processes comply with federal, state and local laws as well as federal contracting requirements
  • Coordinate annual performance management process
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Prepare executive summary reports on various HR metrics, including engagement, turnover, retention, time to fill, and HR initiatives
Requirements
  • 8 years of HR experience, ideally in the government contracting arena
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for developing relationships and sharing information
  • Experience with employee relations, counseling and coaching employees
  • Expertise in labor law and compliance requirements
  • Solid decision-making skills and judgment for resolving employee concerns, minimizing liability and handling sensitive information
  • Attention to detail; ability to multi-task and prioritize initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of ATS and HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
Desired Experience/Certifications
  • HR experience in government contracting
  • SHRM certification a plus
