Currently recruiting for a Director of Transportation with a rapidly growing e-commerce company, You will be instrumental to growing a brand and creating a better e-commerce experience for the companies customer's. You will lead a transportation team, and work with operations to optimize transportation efficiency.

Oversee and Ensure Quality and Performance:

• Play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the quality and performance of nationwide transportation operations.
• Lead the Transportation Performance Management team.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to maintain high standards of operational excellence.

Quality Control and Performance:

• Oversee quality control and performance across all transportation modalities, including air, ocean, rail, and trucking.
• Meet operational objectives and customer service levels.

Optimize Transportation Efficiency:

• Develop strategies for optimizing transportation efficiency.
• Reduce costs and improve performance metrics such as on-time delivery, transit times, and freight accuracy.

Data Analysis and Process Optimization:

• Monitor and analyze transportation metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational data.
• Identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for process optimization within transportation operations.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Ensure robust communication, collaboration, and alignment with national and regional teams.
• Facilitate seamless transportation operations and address operational challenges.

Leadership and Talent Development:

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Transportation Performance Management team.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.

Technology Integration:

• Collaborate with technology teams to leverage Transportation Management Systems (TMS), analytics tools, and data-driven insights.
• Drive decision-making, improve visibility, and enhance operational efficiency in transportation management.

Standardization and Compliance:

• Develop and implement training programs, operational guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics teams.
• Ensure compliance with transportation standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. 🚚✨

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management
• Expertise in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Strong background in statistical analysis, performance metric development, and continuous improvement methodologies
