Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Manager
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a Fortune 200 Automated Packaging Equipment Manufacturing company out of the Atlanta, GA area. They are looking to bring on a Mechanical Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
Lead design and development of high-speed, automated packaging equipment.
Ensure timely project completion to specifications.
Set team standards, assign projects, and prioritize tasks.
Build relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
Manage budgets, schedules, training, and education.
Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Direct and influence cross-functional teams on development projects.
Provide production and installation support, including technical sales assistance, troubleshooting, and cost-effective solutions.
Improve cost and quality of mechanical designs.
Understand customer mechanical specifications and needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
5 years of experience in engineering, preferably with high-speed, automated machinery, 3 years in a lead role.
Experience in organizational change management.
Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T.
Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
Packaging machinery equipment experience is a plus.
Proficient in CAD software, PLM systems, and engineering change management.
Excellent motivational and multitasking abilities.
Willingness to travel 10-15%, including international travel to France.
Salary Range: 115k-130k
