DSJ Global is Hiring a Production Supervisor Near Laconia, NH

The Production Supervisor plays an integral role within the Value Stream leadership team, alongside the Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, and Planner. The team's collective objective is to deliver high-quality products while continuously reducing lead time and costs. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating the activities of production team members, managing significant product lines or production shifts. The goal is to ensure that production requirements, performance targets, and improvement objectives are consistently met. Additionally, the role may involve overseeing special projects and conducting high-level research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to Core Beliefs and maintains compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Provides leadership in resolving technical and production-related issues to ensure timely completion of weekly schedules that meet or exceed Company and Customer expectations.
  • Monitors the alignment of product lines with the master production schedule and material planning to achieve production goals.
  • Tracks departmental performance metrics, implements visual controls, and delivers regular progress reports.
  • Ensures accurate closure of work orders in Oracle and maintains data integrity.
  • Enforces adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Supervises a team of Associates (40 ) to foster a safe work environment and promote a self-directed team approach.
  • Maintains regular communication with Plant management regarding production updates, facility issues, and employee feedback.
  • Identifies, arranges, and delivers training programs to support a safe, efficient, and quality-focused work environment, emphasizing continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Facilitates communication, coordination, and conflict resolution within and between work groups.
  • Provides leadership to Associates in areas such as recruitment, performance management, coaching, counseling, and corrective actions.
  • Assists in analyzing production processes and recommends improvements, applying Six-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Cultivates an inclusive atmosphere of diversity, open communication, and trust, providing opportunities for training and professional growth.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in fulfilling business needs and performs other duties as required.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Operations/Engineering or Business preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in product assembly, machine shop operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to achieve business objectives.

Job Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to bend, lift, sit, and stand for extended periods.
  • Significant manual dexterity.
  • Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
