Title: Supply Chain Planner

Location: Frederick, MD

Type: Permanent, Direct-Hire

Summary: A leading homebuilder is looking to bring on a Supply Chain professional to support their inventory management and purchasing functions. The position will ensure that company facilities have the proper materials available with respect to production schedules. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable employer that places emphasis on investing into and taking care of its staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize demand, plant lead, usage, storage, cost, supplier lead-time, minimum order quantities and other factors to determine optimal ordering and inventory balances.
  • Responsible for purchasing activities with pre-approved suppliers, ensuring delivery according to timelines.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with team members in Procurement, Accounts Payable, Quality, Customer Services, and externally with Suppliers to resolve any issues.
  • Manage shortages, damages, and returns to ensure high level of customer service.
  • Support semiannual physical inventories.
  • Pursue continual improvement in inventory record accuracy through use of DMS and other materials systems.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Inventory Control experience.
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Preferred experience with construction or building materials industries.
