The MEP Construction Superintendent is responsible for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. MEP Site Super shall oversee direct labor, schedule all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, as well as ensure their completion of work within time allowed.
The MEP Construction Superintendent shall be responsible for the coordination of work directed in the field, ensuring work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Conflicts or revisions to the plan shall be communicated with the project team for mutual resolution, prior to execution of work that deviates from the approved plans.
The MEP Construction Superintendent shall establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction. The Construction Superintendent shall establish and enforce job site safety control programs to ensure a safe and clean work environment for all workers and be responsible for all incident reporting.

The construction superintendent is required to be fully versed in all mechanical and plumbing tools, equipment, and practices. They must be able to direct work and make proper material lists for the work as required in conformance with the project budgets. Prior in the field plumbing and heating experience is required for this role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience
• Strong understanding of heating systems
• Thorough knowledge of construction trades and respective requirements
• Computer/smart phone literacy, Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Gmail, Whatsapp, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret Floor plans specifications, and other documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively between customers, employees and management.
• Ability to organize and utilize all paperwork required to manage the work such as SDS and MSDS paperwork, OSHA logs and reporting, Submittals, and RFI’s

General Responsibilities:

• Schedule Labor, Materials, subcontractors, deliveries, consultants, and vendors in critical path (with project team) to ensure timely completion.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. Verify all items being used are approved for use and for the job.
• Communicate with project team regarding contract drawings, RFI’s, and submittals.
• Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team and participate in the resolution.
• Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
• Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.
• Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
• Preside over subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
• Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
• Monitor safety compliance on jobsite.
• Arrange for labor, tools, equipment, and other supplies needed to perform the work with the project team.
• Prepare and collect all timesheets if applicable for internal and subcontractor labor as needed per the job requirements. Manage workforce efficiently to render jobsite safe and clean, and to assure all areas are ready for trades to perform their work as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as may be requested, including but not limited to participating in preplanning for future jobs, conducting evaluations of trade performance, completing project close-out reports, and overseeing completion of post-occupancy repair work.
• The Superintendent on a job is the primary person responsible for all activity by trades and ECG personnel on site, and for the completion of the work per ECG quality standards and per schedule. As such, Superintendent is to be on site at all times when work is going on.
• Review construction drawings to understand design intent, identify potential conflicts, and provide suggestions for improvement where possible.
• Perform quality inspections in accordance with program quality control documentation.
• Participate and guide project quality control from kick-off until final turnover of the project to the Owner.
• Thorough understanding of all plumbing and mechanical construction methods, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to plan plumbing and mechanical jobs based on field conditions and create accurate material lists for the work.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
