Summary:

Primary responsibilities of our Paint Sales Associate positions are to maintain outstanding customer service, uphold Dugan’s Mission and Core Values, help create the best paint department experience possible, generate sales, merchandise product, and support the store management team. Paint Sales Associate Positions are tasked with additional and specialized duties that include giving color and paint product selection advice, receiving product, overseeing the paint department, and otherwise extending our customer first philosophy to be the most helpful stores possible.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting professional contractors and retail customers in selecting paint and related products.
• Entering orders in the computer
• Maintain the paint counter and aisles on a daily basis.
• Tinting and mixing paint.
• Offer color-matching expertise and paint product selection advice.
• Ensure that the paint department is performing to the expectations of the Store Manager.
• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service
• Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Assist in the training and development of peers
• Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized
• Making deliveries
• Performing some clerical tasks
• Operating a forklift, cutting machine, and other warehouse-type equipment

The qualified applicant must:

Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Must be dependable

Must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds

Must be willing to submit to a background check

A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction

Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask

Strong analytical skills that include effective problem solving and identifying opportunities for success

Ability to sell products as a package of quality & service, not just price
