Job Description:
Dugan's is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Delivery Driver. This position primarily involves receiving and organizing materials in our warehouse, as well as driving a large delivery truck to transport goods to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming materials and verify their accuracy against purchase orders
- Safely and efficiently put away received materials in designated warehouse locations
- Prepare orders for delivery by carefully loading and securing items onto the delivery truck
- Drive a large delivery truck to transport goods to customers' locations
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while operating company vehicles
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no CDL required, as all vehicles are under the CDL limits.)
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and delivery driving preferred
- Ability to safely operate a large delivery truck and forklift
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving and putting away materials
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
- Proficient in operating a forklift to load and unload materials
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed
