Position : Asphalt Distributor Truck Driver / Operator

Schedule : Monday through Friday, 6 am-7 pm, limited Saturdays, and never a Sunday!

Position Overview :

The Asphalt Distributor Operator / Driver is responsible for operating the asphalt distributor, completing the necessary paperwork, and performing various other duties as required.

This full-time, seasonal position involves travel and overtime during peak season. The role reports directly to the Paving Foreman and does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Punctual attendance for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.
• Safely operate and maintain the asphalt distributor, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality.
• Understand and apply correct shot rates for different grades of emulsions.
• Perform necessary maintenance and operation of additional equipment as required.
• Accurately process required daily paperwork, including time reporting, truck reports, and scale tickets.
• Display flexibility in duties, including working in adverse weather conditions or outside regular hours as needed.

Position Requirements :

• Authorization for a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in asphalt distributor operations or asphalt paving.
• Possession of a Class A CDL with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements.
• Basic mechanical skills and background.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal.
• Travel is required. Throughout Southwestern MN, Watertown, SD, and northern IA
