Duke N. Bui, DDS, PS is Hiring a Dental Receptionist Near Tacoma, WA

Tacoma general dentistry practice seeking Full Time Dental Receptionist. OK to apply if you are a dental assistant and interested in the position.

Main Job Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients
  • Register new patients according to established office protocols
  • Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
  • Verify, enter and update patient information into Practice Management Software
  • Inform patients of dental office procedures and policy
  • Move patients through appointments as scheduled
  • Answer and manage incoming calls
  • Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person
  • Respond and comply to requests for information
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
  • Fill in cancellations and no-shows
  • Email referrals to specialists and process correspondences from specialists
  • Check and process daily email and fax
  • Maintain a professional reception area
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures
  • Possess an understanding of dental insurance billing and posting payments
  • Verify all aspects of financial and insurance coordination such as patient eligibility, break-down of benefits, co-pays and deductibles, insurance pre-authorization, follow-up with insurance claims
  • Presenting treatment plan, estimates and financial arrangements
  • Submitting insurance claims
  • Sending statements and collecting payments
