Job SummaryWe are seeking a Medical Assistant to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet Patients
- Room patients using established protocol
- Assist providers as needed within scope of practice (ex. Assists with routine exams, procedures, chaperone exams)
- Sets up sterile field and assists provider during TVOR procedures.
- Perform POCT testing on site (urine and whole blood glucose)
- Ensures maintenance of the stockroom – unpacking supplies and keeping the room neat.
- Cleans patient room and prepares room for next patient using established protocol.
- Performs HLD of ultrasound probes using Trophon processor.
- Sterilize and high level disinfect medical equipment
- Perform other clinical functions as delegated and supervised by a provider or RN.
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
- High school or GED graduation required.
- BLS required
