Duke University is Hiring a Project Coordinator for IT and Communications Near Durham, NC

Occupational Summary

Performs complex duties in support of the National Center for Child Trauma Stress (NCCTS) Communications and Product Development and Technical teams. Coordinates and implements education/training for technology and software related products.

Work Performed

Virtual Event Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate logistics for live events, including webinars, speaker series', and other virtual events.
  • Manage event schedules, registrations, and communications with participants.
  • Collaborate with vendors for accommodation requests and for post-event processing of recordings and other materials to ensure smooth event execution and archiving.

Member Contact Information Management

  • Maintain and update the database of member contact information.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of member records.
  • Review and update processes for collecting and updating contact information.
  • Collaborate with National Center staff to make sure that information collected meets the needs of the Center.

IT Project Coordination

  • Coordinate IT-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Track project progress, identify potential risks, and report on project status to team members and National Center staff.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between the IT team and other National Center programs.

Application Support and Training

  • Provide training sessions and support for internal applications such as Microsoft Teams, Airtable, Padlet, Zoom and other applications.
  • Maintain a database of technologies available for National Center Staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to these applications.

Education/Training

Work requires communication and analytical skills normally acquired through a 4-year college education.

Experience

Work requires a general knowledge of project coordination, information management, communications, and application support normally acquired through 1 year of IT or communications experience OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

Skills

  • Strong organizational, coordination, project management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including intermediate to advanced experience with Airtable, Basecamp, MS Teams, Office 365, and online event support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be dependable and able to multi-task.
  • Able to work independently and problem solve.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Data entry experience.
