Description: To conduct experiment aiming to develop a gene therapy approach to treat inherited retinal degeneration in mouse disease models via activating proteasomes in affected cell types. The experiments will involve treatments and phenotypic characterizations of mouse models and cell culture screens for mutations suitable for this intervention. Required qualifications include previous experience working with mouse models of eye diseases and advanced skills in performing common molecular biological, biochemical and microscopy techniques.
Minimum QualificationsEducation
Work generally requires skills acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in botany, biology, zoology, Psychology or other science related scientific field program.
ExperienceWork requires four years of research experience. A related master's OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE degree may offset required years of experience on a 1:1 basis, e.g., a two year master's degree in lieu of two years of experience.
