**Duluth Trading Co. now has an immediate opening for a Weekend Shift Receiving Lead in our brand new Distribution Center in West Valley City, UT.**

**Purpose of Position:**

Monitor and direct the daily flow of materials and employees in receiving and replenishing to meet the daily needs of the operation. Review current procedures and strive to improve on those procedures to decrease processing time, increase service levels and improve variable operating costs within the department.

This position is structured to expose the Receiving Lead to leadership responsibilities so that they can develop leadership skills in the area of operational functions and personnel management.

**What Youll Do:**

* Prioritize daily work schedule for the department, and work with other departments inside the warehouse to ensure labor is reallocated to best meet customer demand and the strategic company goals, balancing both workload and labor.

* Plan effective use of department equipment and personnel to meet operating budget and service levels.

* Assist DC Supervisor with the creation of department budgets and operating guidelines.

* Create weekly schedules using forecasts to accurately schedule employees to the department's needs.

* Manage the development of meaningful labor and production measurements.

* Build cross-departmental communications with all functional areas of the company.

* Process receipts and replenish primary locations as needed to meet customer service levels.

* Assure that all actions taken with regard to direct reports are in accordance with established company policies.

* Write and administer yearly performance reviews to frontline staff.

* Actively coach and develop employees using performance management tools.

* Work with department trainers to ensure new hires receive an effective onboarding experience.

* Experience in a supervisory or team lead role

* Basic computer experience

* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks & prioritize

* Exceptional organizational skills

* Forklift certification
