The Driver Pay Specialist is responsible for creating driver settlements and is responsible for the accuracy and timely execution of truck drivers pay. All duties are performed in a fast-paced environment that requires the utmost accuracy and confidentiality.

This position is responsible for Dunavant Sea Lane Express, LLC (DSLX) non-agent locations driver pay and acting as backup for the individual handling DSLX agent and Dunavant Trans Gulf Transportation, LLC (DTGT) driver pay, including accuracy and timely execution. In addition, this position provides backup coverage for issuing EFS money codes. 

This is a hybrid role made up of research, billing customers, working SSL vendor statements, balance sheet reconciliations, emailing and responding both with customers and terminals. As it relates to EFS, this position provides backup coverage for issuing EFS money codes when needed.

As it relates to driver pay, the position handles the weekly settlements, interacts with the terminals on all questions related to driver pay, handles escrow disbursements, and handles all DTGT driver-related balance sheet reconciliations. This position also provides backup coverage for DSL driver pay. 

• Process, Audit and Approve driver settlements to include trip miles, delivery stops, compliance
• Maintain employee confidence and protects driver payroll operations by keeping information confidential
• Assist drivers and department associates with questions, and process improvements
• Maintain driver payroll operations by following policies and procedures
• Work with other department managers and personnel to answer questions regarding driver pay
• Performs other duties as required 

Education and Experience Requirements

 High School Degree or GED; 1 years related experience and/or training or directly related experience.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

• Communicating clearly so that all individuals involved are aware of concerns before there are problems
• Displaying a commitment to teamwork since the job entails contact with a variety of people
• Must have driver payroll / bookkeeping experience
• Must be proficient in Excel
• Must be organized and communicative with strong attention to detail
• Prior trucking / transportation experience preferred but not required

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment. Minimal physical effort is required. Lifting and carrying requirements of up to 10 pounds. Occasional or frequent ability to move boxes from one location to another.
