Veterinary Technician Assistant
Do you like working with animals (and humans!) and enjoy a fast-paced environment where every day is different? If so, we’d love for you to apply for our day Veterinary Technician Assistant position!
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our team and help us deliver high-quality care to our pet patients and clients. This is an entry-level position where the ideal candidate would have previous veterinary experience but is not necessary. The candidate must enjoy working with all types of animals and will perform a variety of duties as directed by the doctors, technicians, and administration.
JOB DUTIES
This job requires standing during all on-duty work hours, the ability to lift and move heavy objects, and appropriately dealing with potentially aggressive or difficult animals (following proper restraint techniques). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning cages
- Feeding and caring for dogs and cats
- Walking and bathing dogs
- Doing laundry
- Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises
- Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Rotating weekends

- Since our hospital is a 24-hour emergency facility, all of our staff works at least 2 holidays a year. Are you willing to work a holiday that could include Christmas Day or Thanksgiving?
- Are you able to work every other weekend (this would include a Saturday and Sunday shift every other weekend)?
