Dunebrook is dedicated to nurturing families and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. By joining our team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission and making a lasting impact. Working collaboratively with the entire Dunebrook Leadership Team and the Marketing Coordinator, The Mission Advancement Director will develop and lead a strategic, data driven communications and marketing campaign for Dunebrook. The Mission Advancement Director will grow and maintain strong partnerships in the community that increase Dunebrook's visibility, awareness, and community impact; and will work collaboratively with the Development Director on fundraising events. The Mission Advancement Director will create and nurture a vibrant community volunteer program to engage interested individuals, service groups, and organizations, and will maintain a holistic view and understanding of Dunebrook's agency-wide mission and vision, and how the work of mission advancement supports and enhances those areas.

Responsibilities

Communications and Marketing

In collaboration with the Executive Director, Program Directors, and Marketing Coordinator:

Create a comprehensive communications and marketing campaign aligned with Dunebrook's Mission, Vision, and Declaration of Identity. Ensure that all communications portray Dunebrook in a positive manner, protect the integrity of Dunebrook and its programs, and create a greater awareness of and positive attitude towards Dunebrook. Provide campaign performance reports and analysis on an ongoing basis.

Create, write, edit, and produce press releases, publications, program-specific materials, social media campaigns, videos, annual giving letter campaigns, special event promotions, newsletters, e-blast emails, annual reports, website content, and other communications that are part of the annual communications campaign for Dunebrook.

Provide communication support for resource development.

Collaborate with and provide support to members of the Dunebrook Leadership Team on meetings held at Dunebrook that bridge the relationship between the public and the organization including meeting logistics, advertising, and planning.

In collaboration with the Executive Director, keep board members, employees, program participants, volunteers, donors, and community stakeholders current on Dunebrook's plans and activities.

Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and execute both an external (website and social media) calendar of events and internal calendar of events that supports awareness and inclusion of all Dunebrook happenings.

Campaigns and Special Events

Serve as the primary event planner for fundraising events such as Dragon Boat Races, Galas, or other annual events and work collaboratively with the Development Director who serves as the main fundraiser for said events.

Determine best practices and capacity to support Dunebrook's goals for fundraising, marketing, promotion, and community relations.

Data collection and management

Determine best practices and collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to obtain and track photo releases and storytelling permissions; develops an internal database of photos.

Work collaboratively with members of the Dunebrook Leadership Team to determine relevant agency and program data measures and collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator on the collection and entry of data into the Dunebrook database.

Communicate key metrics/outcomes and implement timely optimizations both internally and externally.

Volunteer Program

Collaborate with the Development Director to develop a volunteer training program and to provide outreach and education about Dunebrook's Volunteer Program to the community.

Serve as the external and internal contact for the volunteer program.

Collaborate with relevant Dunebrook staff on the development of Volunteer Days at Dunebrook at the request of community organizations.

Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator on relevant Dunebrook volunteer program marketing efforts, including using print marketing, website, and social media.

Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator on the maintenance of volunteer records (volunteer logs, volunteer events), establishment of a volunteer schedule, and how to match volunteers to duties.

Collaborate with the Human Resources Director to assist volunteers with any required forms/paperwork completion required to become a Dunebrook volunteer.

Supervision

Directly supervise applicable work of the Family Services and Marketing Coordinator, and other positions assigned. '

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to attend necessary trainings/meetings, have a valid driver's license with proof of minimum state required auto insurance, and successfully pass a criminal history check. Education and/or Experience:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field and/or equivalent experience. Must have documented experience in creating compelling data driven, successful communications and marketing campaigns, as well as brand unification at an organization/company with multiple programs or products. A portfolio showcasing this experience as well as writing samples is required.

 Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

The Mission Advancement Director must have good verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, patience, listening and organizational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, must have experience providing successful services to culturally diverse communities and families, must have strong computer skills and skills in using social media platforms (such as Facebook, Facebook Live, Facebook ads, Stories, Instagram, Instagram Live, IGTV, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn) or a willingness to learn; must have photo and video editing experience or a willingness to learn; must have Canva proficiency and familiarity, Network for Good familiarity, design and posting software or willingness to learn; must have strong organizational skills, analytic ability, and problem-solving skills; have an understanding of the agency's online presence to effectively handle social media and marketing; have the ability to multitask, to work on a number of projects at once.
