Dunkin' Donuts is Hiring a Director of Operations / Richmond, VA Near Charlottesville, VA

Franchisee for a national QSR is seeking a Director of Operations for a region in Central and Southern Virginia. The Director of Operations is responsible for assisting in the management of a portfolio of restaurants, maximizing profits, hiring district managers and achieving brand & company standards while providing leadership, direction and mentorship to their direct reports and teams.

The candidate must live in or in close proximity to the market. Relocation is also acceptable

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the training, coaching and support of District Managers, Managers and employees.
  • Ensure budgets are achieved – including store and district level sales, COGs and Labor .
  • Monitor guest feedback scores and KPI; communicate and train General Managers and property employees accordingly.
  • Act as a liaison between the network and corporate brand representatives.
  • Ensure all training metrics are met and new marketing programs are rolled out and trained accordingly.
  • Manage a sizable, geographically disbursed portfolio of locations.
  • Work directly with the training department for all grand openings. Including: ensuring the proper staffing levels are met and all training plans/protocols are met and on time to meet the grand opening date.
  • Serve as acting district Manager for districts with DM turnover while a permanent district manager is being selected.
  • Assist the leadership Team with projects as needed.
  • Complete projects and assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving and making adjustments to plans as needed.
  • Maintain store management depth by regularly planning for succession, actively recruiting and critically selecting internal and external management candidates
  • Maintain and advance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
  • Improve financial results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, and presenting changes to leadership.
  • Assist in Annual Business Plan & Budget Process and quarterly reviews

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a district / Area Manager or Regional Director in a national QSR (multi-unit management) .
  • Min Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Highly energetic and motivated individual.
  • Excellent ability to multitask, Plan and work thru initiatives in a systematic fashion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Willing and able to travel throughout Central and southern Virginia.
  • Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities.
  • Results driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
