This Role:

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Manager at our facility in Huntsville, AL. This will be a full-time, on-site role on the day shift (5a - 3:30pm Mon-Thurs and half days Fris) reporting to the Plant Manager.

What You Will Do:

The Manufacturing Engineer Manager will ensure optimal manufacturing processes capabilities at the Huntsville, AL production site through the continuous improvement of local engineering processes, effective capital equipment planning, and partnership with corporate teams.

How You Will Do It:

Project Lead: Will lead projects that are delivered on time, at cost, and with the intended results. Projects may include: manufacturing launch of new and revised products, development and launch of new production lines/cells, and improvements to production processes, methods, technology, tooling and controls

Process Documentation Lead: Will upgrade local processes for product development and engineering changes as well as create more formal process for VAVE (value analysis value engineering). Will lead efforts to develop and maintain standardized work documentation for local processes and products. As needed, will coordinate shop floor training to ensure processes/procedures/work instructions are being followed.

Cross Functional Liaison: Will partner collaboratively with adjacent plant departments (including quality, maintenance, and continuous improvement) as well as corporate functions (including innovation engineering and supply chain).

Continuous Improvement: In partnership with the CI team, will develop and recommend continuous improvement strategies designed to reduce cost, eliminate product/process variability, and achieve measurable increases in manufacturing margins, quality, productivity, safety and related operations/customer satisfaction performance measures. Utilizing lean principles, will analyze and improve material flow and plant layout to optimize efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

For this mid to advanced career role, we are seeking candidates who:

• Have authorization for employment in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future (required)
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Mechanical Engineering (required)
• Offers previous years of experience in engineering in a process/manufacturing/industrial setting as well as previous formal people leadership in that environment (required)

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, this employee is regularly required to use hand and arms to perform repetitive motions. Work may be on concrete floors, requiring frequent standing and sitting. Protective eyewear, hearing protection, and steel toed boots may be required. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
