This Role:
Our team is currently seeking a Strategic Procurement (Sourcing) Manager. This will be a full-time, hybrid role (3 days/week in office) based out of our Kentwood, MI Innovation center reporting to the Director of Procurement.
What You Will Do:
The Strategic Procurement/Sourcing Manager will ensure Duravent’s success by ideating and implementing a customized corporate sourcing strategy which incorporates both proven best in class methodologies and individual site best practices.
How You Will Do It:
- Conduct existing supplier capability and performance reviews
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and the new supplier integration process
- Perform risk audits and supplier business continuity planning (BCP) to ensure continuation of supply
- Manage the RFQ/RFP process, defining clear scopes of work and leading contract negotiations
- Provide sourcing leadership for new product development/introduction (NPI) projects and contract manufacturing
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking candidates who:
- Offer U.S. work authorization without requiring future visa sponsorship (required)
- Have a bachelor’s level degree in supply chain or a related field (strongly preferred) or offers commensurate additional years of applicable work experience
- Have previous procurement personnel management experience (strongly preferred)
- Hold a detailed understanding of the macro-economic factors driving/influencing NPI management (required)
- Offers a strong working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools including Excel (required)
- Has familiarity with Oracle (preferred) or other ERP (required)
