- Schedule Truck Drivers’ runs in the most cost-efficient and time-saving manner possible.
- Review drivers’ logs daily.
- Ensure Forklift Operators are loading trucks neatly and to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
- Attend daily Scheduling Meeting and assist the Plant Scheduler in meeting our customers’ requirements.
- Prepare work orders for and coordinate repairs of trucks, trailers, forklifts, dock plates, and dock doors.
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Production Planning and Sales to ensure the delivery of the customer orders are on time.
- Ensure warehouse space is optimized.
- Lead the returned goods process.
- Ensure inventory and cycle counts are accurate.
- Keep management informed of problems or situations that may affect the department.
- Maintain, and support all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all lift drivers are current with lift training.
- Adheres to daily production schedule.
- Communicate with necessary supervision to avoid problems between shift changes.
- Responsible for inventory items and following FIFO policies
- Responsible for ensuring forklift and tractor checks are performed daily and reporting damage the day of incident.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
