The mission of the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work is to improve the well-being of vulnerable individuals and communities, advance social and economic justice, and eradicate pressing societal problems in complex and culturally diverse urban environments throughout Southern California, the nation, and the world. Our mission is achieved by providing students with experiential, practice, and competency-based learning, and culturally responsive training that is informed by evidence and best practices.
The Homelessness Policy Research Institute (HPRI), which is located at the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and is a joint institute with the Sol Price School of Public Policy is seeking a Managing Director to advance the Institute’s strategic vision to accelerate equitable and culturally informed solutions to homelessness in Los Angeles County by advancing knowledge and fostering transformational partnerships between research, policy and practice. The Managing Director will work closely with the Director to advance this vision and will peform all day to day activities and responsibilities including those listed below. The ideal candidate will have either research or practice based experience in homelessness systems as well deep expertise and experience with diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

The annual base range for this position is $10,720.94 - $124,950.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
