Our organization is a leading player in the renewable energy sector, specializing in the production of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) via anaerobic digesters and landfills. We operate state-of-the-art facilities that convert organic waste into clean, sustainable energy. As the Vice President of Landfill Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of our landfill based RNG plants. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in RNG operations, upstream/midstream energy production or other similar experience. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated a proven track record of success leading across a multi-state and multi-plant environment. As the Vice President of Landfill Operations you will be accountable for the financial and operational performance of the landfill RNG division.

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals.
• Prioritize safety at all levels, implement safety procedures, and foster a safety-conscious culture among plant personnel.
• Lead, mentor and manage a multi-plant, multi-state operations team to ensure optimal plant performance consistent with forecasts.

2. Process Optimization:

• Continuously improve process efficiency, yield, and quality.
• Oversee daily operations of multiple RNG production facilities across different states, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with engineering division to optimize plant performance, gas cleanup, and biogas upgrading, as well as ensure that your projects are completed on-time, on-budgets, and the high-quality standards for which the company expects.
• Stay informed about industry advancements and apply innovative techniques to enhance plant operations through innovation and continual improvement.

3. Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

• Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial performance of the landfill operations division.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet operational goals.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement within the landfill division.
• Monitor operating expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization.

4. Collaboration with Organizational Executives:

• Work closely with other organizational executives (CEO, CFO, Vice President of Dairy Operations, Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Administration, as well as company's other officers and directors) to align plant operations with overall company goals and strategies.
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of plant activities with broader organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Build and maintain relationships with key partners to enhance operational capabilities and business opportunities.
• Report operational and financial metrics to executive leadership.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, forums and networking events

Education/Experience is required when indicated, desired otherwise.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operational management, business administration or a related field
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Engineering) is preferred.
• Proven experience: Minimum of 10 years in a operational leadership role in renewable energy, waste management, energy or production.
• Technical expertise: Familiarity with anaerobic digestion processes, RNG production and wellfield management.
• Strong communication skills: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
• Problem-solving acumen: Effective at analyzing complex operational challenges and implementing solutions.
• Safety mindset: Prioritize safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture.
