The Recovery Mentor provides case management offering a combination of referral linkage, family support, group counseling and case management services to assist client's successful engagement in treatment and the family's ability to support the client's continued treatment involvement. The Recovery Mentor also works to promote greater independence, community integration, and recovery. Services provided by mentors include a wide variety of support services and advocacy. Certified Recovery Mentor’s contribute to a client's ability to engage in ongoing treatment and work towards less dependence on traditional mental health and substance use treatment. These activities acknowledge the importance of involving natural support in the person's treatment that could positively impact their recovery. Will work full time as part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team providing emotional, informational, and transportation support to patients receiving substance use disorder and Mental Health treatment services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Two years recovery, at least from substance use and/or misuse.
· Certified Peer Recovery Mentor certification
· Must be able to use a computer with well-developed word processing skills.
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
· Must have reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license for state of residency, personal auto liability coverage, and a clean driving record. All employees driving for work purposes must adhere to state driving laws and regulations.
· All work performed shall be in alignment with the philosophy and in keeping with the mission of Dynamic Self Recovery.
· Exhibit dependability, flexibility, punctuality, and strong time management skills.
