Quality Control Level I Asphalt Technician

Purpose of Position: Perform all necessary quality control testing for asphalt mixtures, aggregates, and recycled materials to ensure product is compliant with specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform all necessary quality control testing

· Be proactive in evaluating potential problems

· Work in conjunction with production personnel in evaluating problems

· Maintain necessary laboratory documentation

· Repetitive lifting of 50 lbs and extended standing to perform daily tasks

· Perform scheduled maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment

· Ability to work independently and self-motivated

· Other duties or tasks assigned by management

Requirements:

· Must be able to have flexible working hours including weekends and night shifts

· Basic Microsoft Office experience

· Ability to perform required testing according to AASHTO, ASTM, and INDOT requirements

· Become a Qualified Technician within 3 months of employment

· Become a Level I Asphalt Technician within 1 year of employment

· Possess a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.84 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
