Our company is seeking part time and per project employee(s) to oversee the construction observation of a variety of upcoming construction projects including: water main line rehabilitation, sewer line rehabilitation and wastewater treatment plants.
GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES
· Perform on site observation and inspection.
· Compile electronic daily reports outlining inspections and reporting deficiencies.
· Read and understand specific project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
· Communicate with the project team regarding project requirements and inspection results.
· Can communicate effectively with contractors and hold them accountable to project specifications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum 1-2 years of civil construction, observation, or engineering experience.
· Must know how to thoroughly read construction blueprints and documents.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Maintain a valid driver's license with a reliable means of transportation.
· OSHA Safety Training Preferred.
· General computer knowledge (Excel, Word, PDF).
· Able to stand on your feet to 8-10 hours a day or longer.
· Physically able to navigate around a construction site consisting of uneven ground varying in ground material i.e., stone, gravel, dirt etc.
· Physically able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses while working.
· Willing to travel 1-2 hours. Projects vary from Erie, Chautauqua, Allegany, and Cattaraugus counties.
