Ideal candidates will have at least 2-3 years of experience working in Fund Accounting as a fund administrator, bank, or other financial services institution. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization, with plenty of career advancement opportunities. The role is based out of Beverly Hills, CA with the flexibility to work on-site 2 days per week. Responsibilities: Fund Accounting Operations Associate role will be responsible for providing the following to our CFO clients:
Daily recording and reconciliation of clients' equity, options, foreign exchange and derivative positions with counterparties utilizing portfolio management accounting systems
Coordination with Portfolio Managers and Counterparties to ensure timely settlement of all transactions
Prepare performance summaries and risk metrics reporting for distribution to clients and investors
Review client NAV's on a monthly basis, includes investor allocations and capital statements
Research corporate actions and review against prime broker records
Help prepare and coordinate payments to vendors across clients' funds and management companies
Utilize Bloomberg to re-value client holdings
Assist with internal projects and administrative duties.
Liaise with the fund administrators for shadowing of the books, preparation of monthly estimates, ensuring NAV is correct, assistance with financial statement preparation, valuation of the portfolio, annual audit and tax work.
Review all monthly items including the operating expense schedules, month end or quarter end close packages containing financial statements and supporting files, transparency reports, and investor statements
Liaise with other functional areas within the Firm as well as outside service providers
Ad-Hoc requests and special projects as necessary
Review client NAV's on a monthly basis, includes investor allocations and capital statement
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Fund Accounting
Alternative Investment experience
Client facing
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
2-3 years of relevant experience in Accounting and/or Financial Services or recent college graduate looking for a career in Accounting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills required
Highly motivated individual with a desire to join our sophisticated start-up/family culture
Strong accounting and organizational background is necessary
