EAC Network is Hiring an Energy Assistance Program Coordinator Near Hempstead, NY
OverviewAre you looking to make a difference in the lives of Nassau County residents? EAC Network is seeking a dedicated Case Aide for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and Weatherization program. The ideal candidate should preferably be bilingual (English/Spanish) and will be responsible for assessing eligibility, processing applications, and providing financial assistance to those in need.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client interviews and assess their eligibility for energy cost assistance.
- Process client applications and complete necessary paperwork in alignment with Nassau County guidelines.
- Collaborate with various agencies, heating, and utility companies.
- Maintain accurate records and departmental documentation.
- Utilize computer programs such as Outlook and Microsoft Word for efficient task completion.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
- Minimum of one year experience working with low-income households.
- Strong communication, organization, and interviewing skills.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in computer applications are essential.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desired.
