Position Overview: As a Certified Pre-K Teacher or substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners. You will create a stimulating and safe learning environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement age-appropriate curriculum, assess student progress, and collaborate with parents and colleagues to support each child's individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Implementation:
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with Pre-K learning objectives and standards.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage young learners and cater to diverse learning styles.
Foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities, group projects, and interactive experiences.
Classroom Management:
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Establish and enforce clear expectations for behavior and conduct, promoting cooperation and mutual respect among students.
Manage transitions smoothly and effectively to maximize instructional time and minimize disruptions.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning and development.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements, identifying areas for growth and providing targeted support as needed.
Communicate assessment results to parents and colleagues regularly, fostering open and transparent communication about each child's academic and social-emotional development.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and continuously improve your teaching skills.

Qualifications:
Substitute certified in Missouri.
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required).
State certification in Early Childhood Education or Pre-K teaching (required).
Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting (preferred).
Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood pedagogy.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
