EAGLE COUNTY GOVERNMENT is Hiring a Conservation Project Manager OR Senior Conservation Project Manager Near Eagle, CO

Conservation Project Manager Salary Range: $73,815-$88,578. The maximum pay for this position is $103,341.
Senior Conservation Project Manager Salary Range: $79,539-$97,436. The maximum pay for this position is $115,332.
Eagle County Government is looking to fill one position, however, we are willing to consider applicants on both levels. See the description and qualifications for both positions below.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Negotiate deals, manage grants, and oversee projects that restore and protect our mountain ecosystems.
  • You'll be the go-to person for land acquisition, leading the charge to secure new open spaces for all to enjoy.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of partners, from government agencies to community groups, to make conservation a reality.
  • This role requires a blend of leadership, negotiation skills, and a deep love for the outdoors.
Qualifications:
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in ecology, landscape ecology, natural resources, restoration ecology, water resources, project management, or a related field, and 3 or more years' experience performing project management related projects OR 4 or more years as a Senior Conservation Project Manager.
  • Experience preferred with conservation real estate transactions, real estate, or law. Additional preference with leading collaboration and partnerships, grant writing and administration, and contracting.
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Natural Resources or Conservation or equivalent combination of education and experience, Law or Master's Degree in Environmental Policy or other related field is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Good working knowledge of Eagle County and Western Colorado, including its history, culture, land ownership, ranching heritage, natural resources, and economy.
  • Familiarity with local county governments, town governments, recreational and outdoor activity constituencies, prominent civic groups and other key stakeholder groups.
