Job Summary: The Maintenance Planner will develop the work plan and schedule for all maintenance resource activities utilizing the CMMS system to increase department effectiveness and support a high level of customer service to plant operation teams.

This position is responsible for managing all activities related to the planning and scheduling of department resources by performing the following duties personally or through peers.

Responsibilities

• Develop preventative maintenance plans and evaluate existing plans for effectiveness using OEM literature, failure analysis, technical team review, and work experience.
• Manage workflow process relating to work request, work order planning, and scheduling using CMMS system.
• Create job plans for efficient work that define task, labor resources, parts needed, and coordination with other departments.
• Research and request parts needed for planned work and build part kits for repairs.
• Develop weekly schedule for all maintenance resources and communicate them both to the department and out to the larger operations team.
• Schedule and coordinate contracted services within the plant as needed.
• Measure and communicate departmental KPI’s to maintenance leadership.
• Assist in break down analysis (BDA) exercises as assigned.
• Coordinate training activities with maintenance leadership and HR.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of CMMS functionality (CMMS “super user”).
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school/GED with equivalent experience; Associates degree in maintenance technology, preferred.
• 5-7 years of Maintenance & Reliability experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of Maintenance planning & scheduling experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) specifically with workflow management.
• Experience participating or coordinating the prioritization of work for a team or project leadership.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (both written and oral).
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
