Job Description

Press Operator. Efficiently operates a variety of wet offset web printing equipment with minimal supervision, achieving 100 percent of standard, for waste, quality and productivity levels.

Shift: Four 10-hour days, Monday thru Thursday 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, overtime as needed, Occasional Friday

Responsibilities also include:

· Analyzing issues, providing innovative ideas for improvements, and determining/implementing solutions

· Reading and following all information on job ticket pertaining to a specific job; ensuring that all necessary components to produce the job are present

· Completing 4 color press register process

· Consistently balancing ink and water for quality printing

· Achieving acceptable color within specified M/R standards

· Ensuring a smooth transition between shifts to gain all information without interruption to production

· Providing training to crew and other employees as necessary

· Maintaining a clean and safe work area

Minimum Experience/Education Requirements:

· High School diploma or equivalent, technical schooling preferred.

• Willing to train motivated individuals

· 2 years continuous web press experience Preferred: Diddie and/or Super Web (8 color) experience a plus.

• Ability to read and write English and understand oral and written communications.
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Strong attention to detail

· Ability to read a ruler and use basic math skills.

· Ability to see and clearly identify all aspects of the color spectrum.

· Willingness to work overtime if required.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally.

· Must be able to stand, bend stoop for up to 10 hours.

· Hearing protection required. (provided)
