Summary :

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant in a pivotal roleoffering both administrative and clinical support services in aprimary care setting.

Essential Duties andFunctions :

DirectPatient Care :

• Preparethe environment for patient visits ensuring all necessary equipmentand information is available for efficientcare.
• Warmly welcome patients and prepare themfor their visits.
• Conduct vital signs EKGs eyeand hearing exams and related tasks asassigned.
• Ensure all documentation is accurateand complete.
• Assist the CRNP in providingcomprehensive care.
• Manage medical records andperform inventory control tasks.
• Conduct rapidHIV tests and handle related paperwork.
• Assistwith therapeutic procedures medication administration and specimencollection.

IndirectPatient Care :

• Preparepatient visit forms and handle referrals which may involveobtaining insurance authorizations coordinating transportation andnotifying patients upon completion.
• Managerequests for medication refills as assigned.

General LaboratoryServices :

• Performstandard lab tests and manage laboratory specimens to ensureaccurate handling.

Triage :

Assist the clinical team in collectinginformation for triaging patients.

General :

• Consistently practice universal precautions andparticipate in relevant practicecommittees.
• Substitute for Medical Assistantsin other practices or perform Medical Receptionist duties asnecessary.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma / GEDrequired.
• Current Medical AssistantCertification in the Commonwealth ofPA.
• Proficient in computer usage particularlywith Word Processing and EMRsystems.
• Outstanding organizational skills andthe ability to prioritize tasks.
• Team playerwith a responsible reliable courteousdemeanor.
• Must strictly maintain patientconfidentiality.
