Hop on board! We're looking for a dynamic individual to provide regional transportation fare and schedule information for EVTA, Bustang (CDOT), and Town of Vail Transit at the Vail Transportation Center. With limited supervision, you'll deliver an excellent customer service experience to all riders, sell EVTA fare media, and assist with money room operations. Driving the Future Forward with EVTA
The EVTA was formed by a vote of the registered electors of the Town of Avon, Town of Eagle, Town of Minturn, Town of Red Cliff, Town of Vail, Beaver Creek Metropolitan District, and Eagle County in the November 8, 2022. The EVTA will assume operation of the existing county-operated ECO Transit system; enhance coordination with local transit systems in Vail, Avon, and Beaver Creek; improve air service; and expand and increase transportation offerings throughout the EVTA service area. The EVTA is governed by an appointed 7-member Board of Directors (“Board”).

Pay Range for this position is $21.78 - $29.41. Final offer and placement within the hourly range will be commensurate with experience. Requirements:Transit Information:
Be the Transit Guru! Provide route and schedule information for EVTA, Vail Transit, and Bustang (CDOT) in-person and over the phone.
Communication Champion! Relay important info to bus drivers, dispatch, supervisors, and other agencies (e.g., Police, hospital, Bustang, Salvation Army, Town of Vail) about road conditions, weather, schedule changes, and more.
Email Extraordinaire! Assist with managing EVTA customer service email, respond promptly, and create engaging auto-responses and email blasts.
Help create content for EVTA’s social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
Customer Service:
First-Contact Fun! Greet riders and visitors with a smile, answering their questions about local transit services, locations, activities, and events.
Lost and Found Legend! Manage the EVTA lost and found system, tag and track items, and help reunite lost items with their owners.
Work with EVTA supervisors and managers to resolve fare discrepancies quickly and effectively.
Record Keeper! Log rider/guest issues or complaints and communicate them to managers to help improve our services.
Administrative:
Independent Operator! Complete tasks with minimal supervision while keeping your workspace neat and organized.
Keep drivers supplied with essential items during their breaks.
Coordinate the Avon Money Room, balance bus revenue deposits weekly, and prepare end-of-shift deposits.
Other:
Safety Star! Follow safety and security procedures, use equipment safely, and report any potentially unsafe conditions.
Community Champion! Serve the community by embodying Eagle County Government’s mission and core values, and follow all relevant policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Emergency Support Functions:
None
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification, or Registration:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
At least six months of general office or related experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. (Required)
Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
People Person! Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with riders, visitors, and staff.
Knowledge of Outlook applications preferred.
Spanish language skills preferred.
Familiarity with and/or enthusiasm for public transit.
Focused and Flexible! Ability to handle interruptions and distractions with ease.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
This job is not performed in a typical office environment setting.
