Calling all culinary superheroes! Are you ready to don your apron and cape and join the Earth Fare team? We're looking for a Prepared Foods & Bakery Merchandiser to swoop in and save the day by ensuring operational excellence, training and developing successful teams, and maintaining Earth Fare's high standards of food quality, customer service, and safety across all Food Service Departments.

This role involves traveling to stores for regular and follow-up visits, providing hands-on support and training to achieve financial goals, and ensuring compliance with Earth Fare's Standard Operating Procedures and food safety guidelines.

The Essential Functions of the Prepared Food and Bakery Merchandiser Include :

1. Conducts Team Member Development :

• Communicate Earth Fare's Vision, Mission, and Customer Service Creed to team members.
• Train and develop Food Service & Bakery Managers and their teams for daily excellence.
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
• Define and communicate expectations clearly.
• Communicate and clearly define programs to Team Members, Store Leadership and Home Office

2.Responsible for Production :

• Supervise and participate in the production of in-house prepared foods and in house made Bakery items.
• Ensure proper presentation and display of quality pre-made items.
• Uphold the highest standards of quality control in the industry.

3. Performs Operational Tasks :

• Train team members on ordering, receiving, and inventory processes.
• Conduct monthly department inventory with new managers.
• Test and develop new Prepared Foods and Bakery recipes and programs
• Review operational efficiency of each department and station

4. Merchandises Store :

Implement Earth Fare's merchandising guidelines and maintain best-in-class sales floor merchandising.

5. Maintains Department Conditions :

• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the department.
• Maintain fixtures, storage, work stations, freezers, and coolers.
• Assist with the Specialty Dept with the above listed items as needed

Knowledge and Critical Skills / Expertise

• Strong communication skills for training, coaching, and leading team members.
• Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of food service industry trends and dietary requirements.
• Total comprehension of food safety and sanitation.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
• Leadership experience in a successful Food Service Department.
• Desire to grow with Earth Fare.
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to maximize Earth Fare resources

Experience

• 2 years of experience in a food service environment, preferably in the Natural Foods industry.
• 2 years of experience in a retail / customer service environment preferred.
• Perishable experience and ServSafe Certification preferred
