EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE is Hiring a Head Coach - Softball Near Union, MO
Duties include recruiting, coaching, preparing the field for game day, fundraising activities, supervising student athletes' academic progress, and enhancing the overall community college experience for the student athlete. Adherence to college policies and governing body rules will be a requirement for the position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: (A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Coaching experience preferred at the intercollegiate level and or/ high school level.
- Selected candidate will need AED / CPR certification within specified time of hire date
- Recruit 20 student athletes on an annual basis.
- Organize and run team practice session.
- Schedule intercollegiate games and scrimmages.
- Develop and manage team budget in cooperation with Athletic Director.
- Purchasing and management of equipment pertaining to team.
- Arrange for team transportation and travel with assistance from the Athletic Coordinator, and with prior approval from with Athletic Director
- Supervise and plan team fund raising activities with prior approval from with Athletic Director
- Coordinate field maintenance and game day field preparation with team members.
- Supervise student athletes' academic progress towards successful student athlete retention, completion of a college degree and/or transfer credit.
- Supervise assistant coaches.
- Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established board policies, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner with minimal supervision.
