Data Processing Clerk The position of a
Data Processing Clerk will be available
immediately at
East Central ISD . All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website.
The deadline for submitting an application is until the position is filled. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under direct supervision, perform data entry, demographics, or Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data; attendance; or grades into computer databases.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Enter alphabet, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents using online computer terminals or personal computers.
- Assist parents and process New Student registration.
- Prepare student transcripts as requested.
- Process credit denials and reinstatement.
- Enter credit recovery information.
- Complete transcript corrections from counselors.
- Enter student testing results (EOC, PSAT, ACT, and SAT).
- Key and verify results according to procedures provided.
- Verify PEIMS data is accurate.
- Recognize and correct errors in original data prior to processing.
- Recognize deficiencies in source documents and return them to the originator for correction.
- Print reports using database information including attendance reports, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Only those persons currently meeting all of the minimum requirements will be considered. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent
Special Knowledge/Skills/Experience: Secretarial/clerical experience.
Must perform duties with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to use personal computers and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance and 10-key skills.
Ability to meet established deadlines.
Two year data entry experience.
EQUIPMENT USED: Computer or online computer terminal, printer, calculator, typewriter, telephone, paper shredder, copier and calculator
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; limited bending and stooping; light to moderate (up to 45 lbs.) lifting and carrying; prolonged sitting. Normal office environment.
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: 220 day basis
SALARY: Paraprofessional Pay Grade 303
