East Coast Leisure is Hiring a Project Manager Near Virginia, VA

Job Summary:

As a Project Manager for our inground pool installation company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient project execution. You will be the primary contact for customers, managing inquiries, concerns, and updates throughout the installation process. Additionally, you will support the pool construction team with various manual tasks and general labor duties to ensure construction sites are organized, materials are handled safely, and projects progress efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Communication: Act as the main liaison between customers and our company, providing timely updates on project status, addressing concerns, and answering inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Problem Resolution: Efficiently handle customer issues and complaints, seeking solutions that align with company policies and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Project Updates: Keep customers informed about the progress of their inground pool installation, including scheduling, delays, and necessary adjustments to the plan.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of pool materials and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available for installation projects while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Coordination with Installation Teams: Collaborate closely with installation crews to ensure they have the necessary resources, equipment, and information to complete projects on time and to specifications.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project updates, inventory levels, and other relevant information to facilitate smooth operations and future reference.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Strive to exceed customer expectations by providing exceptional service, anticipating their needs, and proactively addressing any issues that may arise during the installation process.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites for pool installation, including clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling the ground. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and delivery vehicles.
  • Material Handling: Transport construction materials, such as concrete, pipes, and pool components, to designated areas on the job site. Organize and maintain an inventory of materials to ensure efficient use and timely replenishment.
  • Assistance with Construction Tasks: Provide assistance to pool construction workers in various tasks, such as assembling pool components and installing plumbing systems. Hold and position materials or tools for workers as directed. Operate hand tools and power equipment under supervision, following safety guidelines and instructions.
  • Clean-Up and Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized by removing debris, sweeping floors, and disposing of waste materials. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery after use to ensure proper functioning and longevity. Perform minor repairs and adjustments to tools and equipment as needed.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to receive instructions, ask questions, and provide updates on tasks. Show initiative and willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Experience in customer service or a related field, preferably in a construction or home improvement setting.
  • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant tools for communication and record-keeping.
  • Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor roles is beneficial but not always required.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Clean driving record and a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including bags of concrete, pipes, and equipment, weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Agility to navigate uneven terrain and work in confined spaces.
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily outdoors at construction sites, which may expose you to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun.
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and potentially hazardous materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
