East Maine School District 63 is seeking an outstanding educational leader to serve as a middle school assistant principal for the 2023-24 school year.
Desired Qualifications/Skills/Attributes:

• Minimum of four years of successful elementary school classroom teaching preferred
• Supervise special education and related services staff
• Ensure special education and related services are provided as listed in student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Serve as the Local Education Agency (LEA) representative
• Exemplary communication, instructional leadership, planning, and organizational skills
• Record of commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Documented history of success
• Experience in the coaching and supervision of special education staff is preferred
• Experience working with self-contained special education programming is preferred

District 63 is located approximately eight miles west of Lake Michigan and seven miles north O'Hare Airport, drawing students from Glenview, Morton Grove, Niles, Park Ridge, and Des Plaines. 

The base salary range is $91,457 - $102,476 and the position comes with a competitive package of benefits. Candidates must possess or have the ability to obtain an Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License with a General Administrative Endorsement or Principal Endorsement.
