GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Machine Operator is a direct labor support position, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The Machine Operator Position is responsible to produce goods in an efficient manner, maintaining appropriate safety and quality protocol. All Machine Operators (MO) perform their duties in a manufacturing and assembly atmosphere, serving as a team member within a work group. The MO performs machine operating procedures on assigned production line, including monitoring machine parameters, complying with all safety protocol, ensuring that raw material is available and that the machine is producing product to quality standards and production requirements. Accomplishing these responsibilities requires consistent collaboration with other MOs, Production Workers, Production Auditors, and Production Maintenance Technicians.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Work experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment consistent with the responsibilities of production line worker, purchasing, shipping, warehousing, planning and/or working with multiple part numbers is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with co-workers and management

• Keeps workstation clean and organized, free from debris, scrap, and unused tools • Properly stores materials in designated locations
• Must be able to analyze and interpret general business information, documents, and procedures
• Must possess basic math skills and/or knowledge in using a calculator to accurately perform basic math
• Must be able to use and understand basic measuring devices
• Awareness of the entire Production line process, including performing the following tasks when needed: helping co-workers, suspending operation to diagnose issues, preparing materials, cartonizing, packing, palletizing, inspecting finished goods, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Individual may need to stand, turn, bend or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to reach above shoulder height, below the waist, or lift as required throughout the workday
• Must be able to grip and squeeze with hands
• Proper lifting techniques are required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Required to wear steel/safety toe shoes
• May be required to wear hearing protection or safety glasses
