Senior Accountant

Start Date : As soon as possible. This is a 12-month (260 paid days) position.
Salary: $86,904 - $91,810 (with district longevity)
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day (40 hours per week)
Responsible To: Finance Manager

Position Purpose: The Senior Accountant is a lead member of the district's finance team and oversees, performs and supports various financial accounting duties.
Responsibilities include:
  • Perform general accounting duties
  • Budget development and maintenance
  • Leads annual financial audit
  • Perform internal auditing functions to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with state and federal guidelines
Required Qualifications:
  • Four-year accounting degree
  • CPA certificate preferred
  • Three years of experience in a related field, preferably with a Minnesota Public School District
Benefits of Employment as of July 1, 2024: Eligible for benefits under the District 112 Professional and Technical District Personnel Contract. This position is not eligible for overtime or comp time.
