Our practice is currently seeking a full-time Endoscopy Front Office Receptionist to join our team! This position will float between our Nazareth Endoscopy Center and our Monroe Endoscopy Center.
This role is responsible for greeting, assisting, providing direction and information to patients in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate with the ordering physician's offices and register the demographic and insurance information provided by them into the computer system and enter appointments into the scheduler.
• Print out the schedule and assemble all needed forms and information.
• Verify insurance coverage and make sure that pre-certification has been obtained when appropriate.
• Call patients to collect upfront costs and be able to answer billing inquiries.
• Greet incoming patients and notify nursing staff of their arrival.
• Assist in charge entry.
• Send bills to patient and insurance carriers both manually and electronically.
• Hand outpatient surveys if applicable.
• Record receipt of pathology reports into the pathology logs manuals.
• Triage all incoming calls efficiently and courteously.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Patient Accounts Manager and the management team.
• Participate in QA programs, in-services, staff meetings and contributes to the Endoscopy Center team.

Education: High school/GED. Some advanced education in clerical service preferred.
Experience:

• Recent experience in a clinic or medical office setting
• Coding or billing experience preferred
• CPR Certification encouraged but not required

Physical Demands: Mostly sedentary with some standing, walking, reaching. Occasional lift, move, carry up to twenty (20) pounds.
