Mammography / X-Ray TechnologistPart Time PositionHours:Wednesday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm and one Saturday per month 9:00am - 1:00pm
Job Summary: Under indirect supervision performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation, and archiving of mammography, x-ray and bone density images. Responsible for the care of the patient while in the x-ray department.
Major Job Functions:
Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Experience:
No Post Graduate Experience Required.Certification/License/Registration:
ARRT registered in Mammography required. CPR certification required. Maintains Continuing Education Credits.
Job Summary: Under indirect supervision performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation, and archiving of mammography, x-ray and bone density images. Responsible for the care of the patient while in the x-ray department.
Major Job Functions:
- Communicate with patients in a respectful, appropriate and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of mammogram, x-ray and bone density rooms.
- Explain procedure to patient and maintain patient safety.
- Provides patient care and comfort and honor patient’s bill of rights.
- Obtain patient’s clinical history as appropriate to procedure.
- Start and end patients on computer.
- Follow and attend all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines and classes.
- Perform QC duties as necessary.
- Maintain data in MRS for all patients.
- Call patients back for additional views as needed.
- Perform/analyze bone density procedures.
- Perform diagnostic x-rays.
Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
