Job Description:

ESH Medical Records Correspondence Clerk will file and retrieve medical records, perform chart preparation. Functions as Release of Information Clerk.

Ensure that all medical records filing is completed in a timely manner. Will also pull records for any UNOS audits, site surveys, and Joint Commission chart audits. Will also organize any chart purge process. Partners and collaborates with management and others to ensure compliance with Federal, state, local rules, regulations laws, etc.; Hospital Policies, Procedures, etc. Inventory, Ensures all medical records supplies are available and submits orders as needed.

Job Requirements:

Completion of high school plus three years of experience. The employee shall become familiar with HIPAA regulations and do their utmost to protect all protected health information (PHI) and other personal or sensitive information within their trust in the course of state business by applying appropriate safeguards and sharing only the information required to deliver agency services. Any personal or sensitive information overheard or seen by the employee will be kept confidential by not sharing it with others, on or off the work-site grounds. Fully participate in all activities regarding the elimination of the use of seclusion and restraints in patient care including educational requirements, competency development activities, and meeting established performance goals and measures. Must have computer competency in approved systems. Must have excellent customer service skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.60 per hour
