Description
BBH provides outpatient behavioral health services and treatment to children and adults throughout southern Arizona. Available services include therapy, assessment/screening, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, care coordination, skills training, peer support, housing assistance, employment skills, and family support.
General Position Description: Works among a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for providing physical health evaluation, treatment planning, and medication management to a range of clients with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Skills/Job Knowledge/Abilities: knowledge around working with members with mental health diagnoses. Working knowledge in trauma informed care. Working knowledge of medical evaluations for physical disease as it contributes to mental health and referral as appropriate. Must be attentive and responsive to monitoring practices related to safety and health plan requirements and agreements. Must have familiarity with practice related state and clinic policies and procedures. Able to establish and maintain a team atmosphere of communication and collaboration for all that reach out to the Department. Must be self-directed and be sensitive to cultural and linguistic diversity. Excellent customer service in stressful situations. Maintains a professional in appearance, communications, and actions. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Possess a high level of computer proficiency. Must have experience working with members with mental health disorders including those with serious mental illness (SMI) status and those on court ordered treatment (COT). Experience working with all age groups, including with children who have been brought into the Department of Child Safety (DCS) system for physical evaluation and be able to refer for ongoing treatment.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):
Normal office and medical office environment with multiple interruptions in person and through computer and phone. Must be able to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed. Interacts with employees and members of the public daily. Able to lift up to 50lbs to support member care. Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms, and to assess the well-being of members. Able to communicate verbally with members and emergency personnel as needed for daily operations. Hearing ability for communication in persona, phone, and/or other electronic methods. Manual dexterity for typing, writing, and assisting clients. Able to stoop, squat, reach, pull, push, stretch, ascend and descend stairs, stand and sit for long periods of time. May be required to work additional hours or days depending on circumstances.
