Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a talented and creative Assistant Designer to join the team. As an Assistant Designer, you will work closely with our design team to assist in the creation and development of new garments geared towards the Gen Z/Womans customer. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about fashion and design, who is looking for an environment where they can thrive and grow. 100% onsite in La Palma, CA.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Designer with all aspects of design and development as needed
• Manage work flow from the cutters to sewers
• Reports directly to the Design Director
• Maintain/organize line sheets with most updated information, including what stage the garment is in- ie testing, cutting, sewing, processing etc.
• Photograph and scan garments downloading to shared drive for tech packing
• Set-up fabrication & reference pages for tech packs
• Set-up BOM’s for costing
• Create and pass tech packs in Excel for our overseas team
• Pass all physical standards to production team with print outs of necessary pages scans

Requirements

• Must have 1-2 years of industry experience
• Must physically work in the La Palma office daily
• Strong organizational, time management and communication skills with the ability to prioritize the workload in order to meet all objectives.
• Proficient knowledge of fabrication and also construction of garments.
• Ability to take direction and work cohesively under pressure in an environment of constant shifting priorities and change.
