Eastside Athletics is Growing! 

We are looking for a part-time fitness professional to join our team (with potential for full-time in the future). Culture fit is everything. We are looking for someone who shares our vision and our values. Our ideal candidate is educated, hard-working, has an athletic background, and takes ownership for their work. Training experience is a plus, but not the most important factor to us. This is not a sales job. We offer mentorship and will work to fill your schedule.

About the Position

We are looking for a personal trainer who wants to make a career for themselves in the fitness industry. We start all of our trainers on a 90-day introductory period which consists of onboarding, shadowing, and 5-15 hours/week of personal training. Our hope is for all new hires to ascend to a full-time training position following their 90-day introductory period. This is not a typical 9-5 job. Being a trainer can require some odd hours and weekend work. That said, we recognize that odd hours are a main source of burnout for fitness professionals. We will work with you to find a mutually beneficial schedule.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences or other related degree preferred) and
• Nationally accredited personal training certifcation (NASM, NSCA, ISSA, AFAA, NESTA, ACSM, ACE, NCSF)or a CrossFit Level 1 certification

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct all scheduled training sessions
• Manage client programming, utilizing TrueCoach software for both in-person and remote sessions.
• Actively participate in trainer meetings and development sessions

Additional Expectations

• Lead by example. Embody our core values both in and out of the gym.
• Arrive to work with adequate time and be fully prepared for each session. 
• Act professionally, but don’t take yourself too seriously. Keep this a fun and positive work environment.
• Clean and put equipment away after each session. 
• Seek out and engage in continued education opportunities.

Compensation 

• $40-55 per training session, DOE
• $25-30 per hour for meetings and administrative work 
• Annual continuing education stipend
