Eat Cook Joy is an Austin based company innovating in the personal chef industry. Our goal is to make personal chef services more accessible and affordable to anyone who needs it. For chefs, we provide a unique experience to build their clientele, work normal working hours, cook the food they love and earn higher hourly wages than the standard quo.

Our chefs cook in a client's home kitchen, executing meal-prep dishes for that client to enjoy for the week. This contract role is a great fit for someone interested in exploring or building a career as a personal chef, and looking for something part-time with work life balance and enjoy cooking in a non-commercial facility.

Our business hours are Mon-Saturday, 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-1pm. We offer flexible schedules which you build around your availability. This is a part-time, contract position, paid hourly.

Responsibilities

• Prep for client sessions by confirming needed ingredients, reviewing recipes
• Pick up groceries, expertly prepare meals in client kitchen and clean up space
• Able to travel to various locations in the Austin Metro Area to complete cooking sessions averaging 3.5 hours per session
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
• Communicate professionally with Eat, Cook, Joy team and clients

Requirements

• 18 years old and eligible to work in the US
• Reliable car, driver's license, auto insurance, and smartphone
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety regulations
• Culinary school student or diploma
• Very personable with strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Pass a background check (no felony in past 20 years, no class A/B misdemeanor in past 10 years)
