Eaton is Hiring a Program Manager II Near Marshall, MI

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division is currently seeking a Program Manager II. This position can be based out of the following Eaton locations and offers a hybrid working schedule:

1. Galesburg, MI

2. Marshall, MI

3. Southfield, MI

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

The Program Manager II is responsible for the successful execution of the NPD Program(s) and projects and their budget allocation. Also, to lead the Integrated Program Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and life of the program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Lifecycle Financials of the New Product Development Program(s) and projects. RAA (Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability) for project scope delivery, and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments. Owns Profit and Loss (P&L) for all Programs and projects.
  • Executes Integrated Project Team (IPT) leadership across the Program. Leads team collaboration to facilitate and promote rapid resolution of issues. Coaches and provides feedback and recognition on performance indicators.
  • Leads team members assigned to the to the project by using appropriate leadership techniques. Establishes objectives and goals and provides direction to program teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope, and risk assessments. Facilitates the implementation of program management processes at the site, business unit, or Division. Identifies and works across functions to resolve resource constraints. Elevates concerns to leadership team to assist with resource constraint resolution.
  • Manages effective customer communications. Improves organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Communicates and manages customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.
  • Ensures standard program management processes are utilized and adequate support to the program and project teams by coordinating PM reviews, preparing & publishing PM metrics and reports. Ensures effective change management process is utilized.
  • Maintains program metrics for financials, milestone achievement, technical & quality performance, and delivery through all of the PROLaunch phases.
  • Integrates all requirements and risks of the program into a comprehensive entity. This is accomplished by planning, controlling, integrating all projects and deliverables into the programs and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.
  • Supports creation of customer contracts, pricing, terms and conditions and cascades through the organization. Supports development of pricing strategies by system and/or product, market and by customer.
  • Provides periodic updates regarding current status and forecasts relating to contractual milestones, deliverables, and issues/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provides updates to the business units, division, and other leadership.
  • Plays a key role in developing new business proposals/pursuits and executing the overall program plan.
  • Coordinates and monitors Vehicle Group program technical personnel across multiple sites.

Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7 ) or more years of experience in a Program Management, or Operations, or Project Engineering related role working in a global manufacturing environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Relocation is not available for this position. Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius of the posted working locations to be considered for this role. (Galesburg, MI, Southfield, MI, or Marshall, MI)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical discipline from an accredited university
  • Ten (10) years of automotive Program Management experience working for a global manufacturing organization
  • Previous knowledge or experience with ePowertrain or torque product lines


Position Success Criteria:

  • Capability to lead change in an Integrated Project Team (IPT) environment across multiple sites and customers globally.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer
  • Experience managing programs with:
    • components / subsystems / systems scope of responsibility
    • Moderate customer business risk
    • Moderate to high NRE budgets
    • High Revenue Growth Program value
